A Compass Pool in Melbourne made the headlines in February, after a car rolled into the pool from the elevated property next door.

Having cleared a 1.5 metre high retaining wall and landing in the water, a crane was needed to fish the 1-tonne car out.

Adam Martin of Compass Pools Vic said the lack of damage done to the pool during this incident was testament to its high quality and the strength of its ceramic core.

"After an accident like this one, we expected to have to remove the pool and reinstall it," he said.

"But on assessing the pool, we're pleased to find that the surface only required some cosmetic repairs and buffing to restore it to its original finish."
